Background:
Wilfred is a sweet and gentle boy who was rescued from a high-kill shelter in Korea back in August. He is being lovingly cared for by our rescue partners at Yousachun.
Personality & Behaviour:
Wilfred is a gentle and curious soul who loves cuddles and exploring the world around him. He is friendly with other dogs and enjoys spending time with both canine companions and people.
Health:
Wilfred has some corneal scarring on his left eye, which has caused a cloudy appearance and significant vision loss. He also has slight scarring in his right eye. This has been thoroughly investigated by veterinarians in South Korea, and the charity can support any further treatment recommended in the UK.
Wilfred can be a little stiff at times, which we believe is linked to osteoarthritis. However, despite his visual impairment, he is able to see well enough to navigate his surroundings comfortably.
Ideal Home:
Wilfred is looking for his forever home. Unfortunately, we will not be able to cat-test him, so he will need a home without cats.
Due to his unknown background, Wilfred will thrive best in a home that can provide patience, stability, and a calm, reassuring environment.
Expected Travel: Wilfred will be ready to fly to the UK mid February
Adoption Fee: £600 (due 14 days before his confirmed flight)
Adoption Notes:
-All successful adopters will receive lifelong support from our post-adoption team.
-Please follow our settling guidance carefully—remember, it can take up to three months for a rescue dog to fully settle into their new home. Patience, love, and commitment are key.
-Shortlisted applicants will be interviewed and home-checked via Teams.
