Background
This week, we welcomed Darla into our care after she was rescued from a euthanasia shelter in South Korea by Karamon at Yousachun.
Health
Following her initial veterinary assessments, we are facing serious concerns regarding her condition. Darla has a large tumour, suspected to be cancerous, and scans have identified additional masses on her liver, spleen and adrenal glands. She is also suffering from severe skin disease, ear infections and significant dental issues, with blood tests indicating liver stress.
Despite this, Darla remains stable and is showing encouraging strength. She has tested negative for heartworm, parvovirus, giardia, distemper and canine coronavirus. She will undergo a full-body CT scan in the coming days to help determine the most appropriate course of treatment.
Adoption Status
Darla is not yet ready for adoption. She will need to be spayed and complete her rabies protocol before she can begin the search for her forever home.
