I’ve been an advocate for DMT DRS for a few years now, it took me all of 5 minutes to see how amazing the Charity is.
I adopted Minnie from the charity back in 2024 this Tiny little girl I fell in love with, my pack was complete… that is until I saw a post about Grace, a really unique and totally beautiful girl with a birth mark on her face, I fell in love with her from the first picture shown on the site.
I followed her like a hawk, loved every picture, commented my love for her already.
Unbeknown to me, the DMT family were watching me go on and on and on about how beautiful she was and how I needed her in my life.
As soon as she came up for adoption I applied, I actually thought I didn’t stand any hope as I’d only had Minnie coming up a year, her personality blooming after months of reassurance and training. My sassy little madam now struts around like she owns the place! But.. I got an email, telling me I could adopt Grace! I couldn’t believe it!
Her flight date couldn’t come soon enough…
She arrived this really long, sleek sausage who was taller than I’d ever seen, we got her home, that beautiful face! I was crying with happiness and she looked at me, as if to say thank you.
I let her out in the garden at home and she flew out of her crate and ran around, quick wee then sniffing eeeeeverything including me and my husband.
I was expecting her to be very shy and nervous but Grace just get bouncing around like tigger from Winnie the Pooh.
We decided to call her Gracie the Gazelle.
We then introduced the other pups and she started playing with them straight away … an instant connection came to Piglet and Dobbers, she thinks she is a staffy! The girls, Cersei & Minnie were not fussed by her at all.
She came inside the house with the others and made herself comfortable on the sofa, dog beds And us. She is still jumpy but it seems it’s pure excitement for the world!
She walks out marvellously and loves eeeeveryone x belly rubs are a must!!
She likes to join in the random barking at almost everything and has a very deep bark which makes us chuckle daily.
I had my beautiful Maxine checking in and how they were all getting in together and it’s literally like she has always been here ,my little 4 are crazy with unique personalities and I could talk to them for hours! Gracie loves a treat, her dinners, and a squeaky, crinkly toy! She has learnt to sit, paw, down and her recall is going wonderfully.
We have been so lucky with Minnie and Gracie, we couldn’t have asked more of such beautiful girls.
DMT DRSG are incredible with all the work they do and total support every step of the way .
Don’t think about it, adopt! These babies deserve happy endings.
