After losing our beloved dachshund last year, our family felt incomplete, broken. Our dachshund Henry was missing having a play mate and having a friend.
We made the decision to bring another dachshund into our family but weren’t sure how to go about it. Then my partner suggested re homing or rescuing and we knew that it was what we wanted to do.
We have been following DMT for some time and applied. We never in a million years thought we would be lucky enough to find a fit for us that was as perfect as this.
The people behind this incredible charity sent us Georgie based on our application and they have truly changed our lives for the better. Georgie was meant to be ours.
We truly believe that. He has brightened up our lives in ways we never knew was possible. He is the most loving, happy, funny little boy.
We spend our days laughing so hard we have tears in our eyes because he is absolutely hilarious! I have never known a dog to have so much personality. If he isn’t taking out every single toy from the toy box, or making friends at the park, he’s chasing his tail or waking Henry from a nap to play with him.
My partner works from home and Georgies favourite thing to do is nuzzle into his side and sleep there until he wakes up ready to play again.
He has been a dream to train. He is so well behaved that within the first couple of months we were doing off the lead training with him.
He is an absolute pleasure to have in our home and we feel so blessed that we found each other! Georgie has completed our family.
This unbelievable charity really did create the best fit for us and it has changed our lives for the better. I cannot imagine our lives without him in it now.
He is a little ray of sunshine in this household. Our family and friends adore him.
