Back in August 2025 ,we saw a post for a stunning pup looking for his forever home. Crumpet was rescued from a breeding facility in Beijing.
Our hearts were stolen the moment we saw him. We completed the application form and got through to interview. On Saturday 16th August we got the call… to our surprise we had been chosen for Crumpet.
Four weeks later he was on his freedom flight to the other side of the world and to his new life. (We stayed up most of the night watching the flight tracker!) From Beijing to a short stop off in Kuala Lumpur then onto his final jaunt to Heathrow Airport.
He settled in and made himself at home almost instantly, his cheeky personality soon came out along with his love of all things food. He is full of puppy energy, his zoomies are mind blowing.
Crumpet has recently got the hang of blankets and now chooses the burrito life! He adores his sisters, Sybil and Margot and cannot get enough of cuddles with his favourite humans.
After his settling in period, we started to introduce to him to the local market town with exploratory walks and each evening he would sit and wait by his collar on the hook to go out for his next adventure.
He soon found a love for the local country pub and cocktail bar, where he enjoys sitting and watching the world go by, taking in everything going on around him and of course indulging in the complimentary treats!
Crumpet has become something of a local celebrity, even being invited to the cocktail bar for a special cheese platter of his own. He certainly knows how to get every human to pay the cheese tax!
Crumpet is learning every day, and we couldn’t be any prouder of him. The love and trust Crumpet gives us is incredible considering his awful start in life. It is clear that he is so grateful to have been recused and given a second chance.
He has fit in with our family so perfectly and we are incredibly grateful for DMTDRSG for not only saving him but for choosing us to provide him with a forever home filled with an abundance of safety and love.
Crumpet has been our first rescue and it has been so incredibly rewarding. The love and trust he bestows us is beyond comprehension. What a privilege and honour it is for us to be entrusted with his care and life’s journey.
