So i was introduced to this wonderful charity by a friend from my hockey club, i searched on facebook and i couldnt believe my eyes, like… we all know awful things happen around the world with the main culprit of humans… but… when i find charitys like this … it reminds me how much good there is that are trying to counteract the bad..
Now with this in mind, i really wanted to attempt to help in some way! And if i could… i would be out there too saving as many as i could!!!! So, when i saw Cecils cheeky face… i thought… sod it im going to apply.. and when i was asked for an interview i had a grin from ear to ear ..
The interview was with two wonderful ladies called Rosie and Tammy and i was very nervous!!!!!!!!!!!!!! But they were so friendly and nice it didnt even seem like an interview.
After a couple of days i was notified that they would like me to adopt Cecil and i was SOOOO happy and i kept looking at the pictures of him on the facebook page!!!
So the day came when he was getting his flight, i downloaded a flight tracking app and i set an alarm on my phone for 2am i think it was to see the plane setting off and i watched it for the whole journey whilst i was going about my day!!! I kept looking at all the countries that he was flying over and i just thought… how mental is this 
So the day after my dad accompanied me to pick him up.. and after a while they turned up in the van and i ran over to the lady who dropped them off and all i could see was their little noses poking out of the crates and i saw cecil straight away i could have cried. So i got the paperwork and my Cecil and began the long journey back to Cumbria! He was so quiet in his crate all the way back and i kept feeding him chicken though the gate.
And from the moment i opened the crate in my garden and saw him properly i thought… i just love him!!!!!!!!!
Cecil… what can i say? You are the most amazing little dog, obviosly we will never truly know your background but you are so loyal, trusting, loving, happy and beautiful little guy in the world.. but i want to give you THE BEST LIFE!!!! I introduced you too my other dogs Dotty and Copper and i am not going to lie… i was nervous on how it was going to go… and well, you ran up to them bouncing around like a rabbit and you all have been besties ever since!!!!!!!! After a while i introduced you to my family and my nieces and you instantly fell in love with Poppy and Daisy, following them around the house and sat playing with them, if they were colouring.. you would be just be sat watching them just wanting to be around them!!!!
So.. after a couple of months, i thought… i am going to take you into the Lakes and hike up the fells… i was a bit nervous about how you would take it so i bought a doggy carrier just encase … and what a waste of money… because you LOVE IT…. to see your ears flop back in the wind and you loving every minute of being up the fells makes me so happy!!!!!!!!
Cecil… you were the best decision i have ever made and i am soooooooo glad i put my form in to adopt you… i cannot now imagine life without you in it.
