Previously known as Ellis. Brown Sugar flew to us from China with two of her sisters in October. She was very skinny and exhausted when she arrived and slept for hours on end. She had never ran before or seen grass, and the simplest things were such luxuries. But she settled much sooner than we anticipated and it’s like she’s always been here.
She’s very much a Mummas girl but doesn’t forget to give dog dad and the other four dogs snuggles too, she’s particularly fond of Yumyum, our little pug and they spend hours causing chaos together. She’s sassy, affectionate, brave, bossy and so much fun!
I’m so proud of her and her incredible journey and I’ll be forever grateful to DMT dachshunds for bringing my perfect baby home to us! The post adoption team gave us some incredible advice and we were very lucky with how well Sugar has settled into her forever home. She makes us belly laugh every day and has already learned a few tricks, she’s very smart and very cheeky!
We cannot wait to give her the best first Christmas ever, and spoil her rotten! She’s blended so beautifully into our home and we all absolutely adore her!
